Petroleum Resin C5/C9 – Aliphatic Copolymerization and Aromatic Hydrocarbon Resin

Petroleum Resin are the aliphatic copolymerization and aromatic hydrocarbon resin made from the continuous polymerization of C5/C9 fraction derived from the stream cracking process of petro-chemical raw materials.

Paints and Coatings

It is used widely as a compounding materials to the vehicles of oily anti-corrosive coating, alkyd-based enamel and aluminium paint. The Petroleum Resin chemicals are greatly useful for the improvements in coating properties such as dryness, glossiness, hardness and resistance to acids, alkalis and water.

Printing Ink

It is utilised as modifiers of the vehicles of newspapers, movable type offset and gravure printing ink on account of its ready solubility to solvents of petroleum series by combined use with linseed oil, stand oil, limed rosin and rosin-modified resins. It is fast drying and capable of producing highly brilliant print.


Petroleum Resin provides good tackiness to the adhesive. In adhesives and pressure sensitive adhesive tapes, petroleum resin exhibit excellent cohesive force. Petroleum Resin is also applied as compounding agents for hot melt adhesives due to its good heat stability.


The effectives as a tackifier, good softening agent and reinforcing agent for the compounds of natural and synthetic rubber, in particular to Styrene Butadiene Rubber (SBR).
